Back on the crime beat now, I have received this message from our local friendly constabulary regarding a scam which has become more widespread and might help us stay one step ahead of the scammers. Fortunately the message is very comprehensive so I don’t really need to say anything else!
On second thoughts, I might just add that you might now find some of your online accounts inviting you to consider using a passkey instead of a password. This is now becoming very much recommended by security experts, are easy to set up and use, much more secure and you don’t need to remember passwords for everything – what’s not to like?!
