Postponed from earlier in the month, the spring Archery Club Picnic was the hot date after last Tuesday’s shooting session. Fifteen members turned up to enjoy the afternoon.
As Ken said –
“It was a tad warm (!) but pacing ourselves carefully through the afternoon heat meant we survived until the picnic was laid out… but it was touch and go.
And what a picnic! Homemade cake, homemade sausage rolls (the Webmaster’s favourite), fresh fruit – strawberries and melon – and tea from a teapot. There was also a selection of Tesco Axminster’s Finest quiches, crisps and snacks. Some even brought a drop (or two) of cooling beer (for medicinal purposes only).
And ALL calorie free 😉

And the moral to the story has to be NEVER trust an old man (named Ken) with a bow!
The whole team would like to thank Ken for all the hard work he does to keep the club thriving –
Thanks Ken!
And don’t forget – all are welcome on a Tuesday afternoon between 2pm and 4pm at the recreation ground – equipment and tuition can be provided for beginners – First session is free.
