Here is a note from our Parish Clerk, Linda, that she sent to the Council and I wanted to share. Linda recently organised a coffee morning on behalf of the Parish Council in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support, and this is the result…
Around 25 people attended the Macmillan Coffee Morning. Myself, Sue Coleman, Libby and Brian Ainslie manned the ship. Janet’s granddaughter, Olivia, brought Janet along to further represent the Parish Council and it was a lovely morning to sit outside.
We put a bowl on the bar asking for donations and also put a notice up to say that all the proceeds from the Coffee Morning would go to Macmillan Cancer Support as well.
We used cakes left over from the Gala Day which I had put in the freezer, and cakes were also supplied by Nicky, Sue and me. The only extra cost was 2 litres of milk which I donated.
We took a total of £65.00 for teas, coffee etc., and as every single person there also put money in the pot, we had another £110.00 in donations. Our total, to send to Macmillan Cancer Support is £175.00.
Regards, Linda
