I have received news that travellers have pitched camp in a field next to Millwey and, strangely enough, I find it’s exactly a year to the day since they last appeared in the same area and I had to message you all then – spooky!
As I wrote at that time I know that there are many travellers who are probably law abiding citizens just living an alternative life style but, historically, it has not been uncommon to find some of them implicated in local crime incidents, particularly theft from surrounding property, cars, garages, sheds, etc.
As a precaution, probably best to make sure that all outbuildings, etc., are secure, just in case.
