Well here’s a welcome sight in the village. The first cluster of potholes being dealt with by the volunteers.
In this case it’s the Parish Council on the road gang – Councillor Glenn Fletcher (chair of the council) worked with Councillor Jim Walsh and Councillor Diana Jenner to deal the dirty blighters a proper wallop.
Using materials supplied by Devon County Council, the trio set about a quiet lane to practice their skills before embarking on busier areas.
Glenn said “A great reception from the locals boosted our enthusiasm. Diana is a natural with a whacker and I think Tarmac is in Jim’s DNA. Keep a look out for us in other areas in the coming weeks. If you see us, feel free to offer us ice creams, tea and/or cakes!”
