Remember when you had to “Press Button A” to connect a call in a red public telephone box, or “Press Button B” to get your money back if the call wasn’t answered?
I do, and in some ways I miss those things from my early years.
So I’m happy to celebrate a red box that is still in daily use and has had a makeover. OK – it’s not used for making calls any more, but it is a local information point.
Thanks from the All Saints Parish Council (and others) to the residents of Waggs Plot who have cleaned and spruced up the box and painted the floor.
