Hello everyone,
As that nice David Braine and his colleagues seem to be very optimistic about lovely spring weather appearing tomorrow onwards, it’s great timing for the Grounds Day taking place at All Saints School this coming Saturday.
This is the occasion when they transform their school grounds into a spring delight by weeding, pruning and generally sprucing the whole place up and the school would be very grateful for any help that villagers might be able to provide towards this end.
As well as suitable gardening clothing (maybe old!), green fingers could be useful too, although the colour they might be when you leave cannot be guaranteed. In case anyone might be concerned that they may be expected to get up on the roof and retrieve the two footballs that I noticed in the guttering there when I passed a couple of days ago, be reassured that ‘ealth ’n’ safety will keep you firmly at ground level.
No previous experience, training or horticultural degree necessary but a good sense of humour might help!
Thanks,
Michael
