All Saints Primary School Choir

Hello everyone,

I have been asked to circulate the school news below which arrived too late to make the latest All Saints newsletter but also contains something relevant to the village carol service, taking place next week on Thursday, 19th December, at 6.30pm in our church. Another occasion to raise our Christmas spirits!

Thanks,

Michael

School News: ‘Once in a lifetime’ singing at Exeter Cathedral

On Saturday 16th November, the All Saints CofE Primary School Choir performed at Exeter Cathedral.  They performed three songs with other schools and Exeter Cathedral Choristers, as well as performing their own song. This was part of the Exeter Cathedral Outreach Programme, which is coordinated by Anthony Chamberlain (Devon and Torbay Music Education Hub) and led by Andrew Downton (Exeter Cathedral Singing Development Leader). Our choir have rehearsed on a weekly basis under the leadership of Steve Holt and Amy Hardy. It is only due to their energy, enthusiasm and commitment that our pupils have been able to participate in this ‘once in the lifetime’ concert. We are extremely thankful for all their hard work – it has been a superb example of the school and community working in partnership.Anthony Chamberlain said, “I thought they sang beautifully in their individual piece, and I hope they all enjoyed being part of the larger choral pieces.”Well done to all the members of our choir!

Also, we are pleased to announce that the choir will be singing two of their songs at the Community Carol Concert on Thursday 19th December at 6.30pm.  We hope to see you in Church!
