Further to my message of last week about a break-in at a property on Goldsmiths Lane, I have received other reports of criminal activity on the same night.
These involved forced entry to another property on the same road, two properties in Knights Lane and two properties in Churchill. It seems that they also had the nerve to take a green recycling bag as well from outside another property in Churchill, leaving the contents strewn all over the road.
So, in case they feel emboldened to return to the parish, it might be a good idea to maintain your vigilance, including keeping an eye out for any suspicious vehicles during the day which may be looking around for suitable properties to come back to at night under cover of darkness.
As I remarked to someone yesterday, whoever said nothing ever happens in quieter rural areas was maybe a little misguided but at least it’s not quite ‘Midsomer Murders’ yet!
