All Saints Parish Council Environment Group have asked if I would circulate the information below about a litter pick they are running on Saturday 8th March.
It can be amazing what lurks in the hedges, ditches and verges around the village as I remember when I took part in one or two quite a while ago. Apart from quite a large quantity of the usual drink cans, sandwich wrappers, burger cartons and general debris, we also came across tights, a pair of trousers and an item of underwear though all in different locations around the block and not necessarily in that order. There were some interesting thoughts as to how they ended up there, whether these items were all any chance related to each other and in what state the owners got home in afterwards – rural life, eh?!
So come along, make a difference to our lovely parish environment and see what you might find!
