The Village Show is fast approaching…

Wow! It’s just under 6 weeks until the All Saints Village Show and we hope that your plans to enter the show competition are progressing well. Whilst the weather has been very disappointing, and your garden produce may not be up to its usual high standard, do bear in mind that we are all in the same boat (if you’ll pardon the pun), so don’t be deterred from entering the competition; the show relies on people taking part.

There are also plenty of classes that do not rely on growing conditions, so get your wooden spoons, pens, brushes, crafty fingers and so on, busy as well! Just remember to pay close attention to the instructions in your schedules, from entry forms to carefully reading the class requirements. It may all be a bit of fun but the judges take their roles seriously!

In the afternoon we have plenty of additional entertainment in the playground, including birds of prey, a horticultural quiz, books for sale, a local artist and more.

A reminder that the show will remain a cash event, so bring enough to cover teas, and the purchase of entrance and raffle tickets, and a bit extra for some stalls in the playground! It might be useful to bring your card too, as the RNLI will have a facility for card payment and have plenty of goodies for sale.

One final reminder. If you won a trophy last year, please remember to return it to one of the committee listed in the schedule by 1st July or contact me, Liz Pedder on 07788 475060 and I will arrange to collect it.
