NHW: Another Visitation by more Bad Guys

Hello everyone,

Now that I know that the rest of the parish is now back on full-fat fibre broadband after the outage in the last four days or so, I can send out information to you all that I received at the weekend as I can report, with only a tinge of smugness, that our copper wire badger-powered broadband here in Churchill continued uninterrupted during your time of cyber darkness!

The message I received related to a house in the parish whose owners picked up four hooded individuals on their security cameras looking around their outbuildings at about 11.20pm on Saturday. Very reassuringly, they reported that the police response was fantastic with the first car arriving within a few minutes, followed by a number of cars and officers plus helicopter and dog team going out searching for the intruders.

I’m sure we weren’t the only ones intrigued by a helicopter circling around All Saints at nearly midnight so, if you heard it too, now you know!

Sadly, the miscreants left empty handed in haste without capture but very much another reminder to stay on your guard. Good to know that the police were very proactive and speedy in this case but worth keeping an eye out generally, not only on our own property, but others too in passing, especially if you know of buildings empty at times, the elderly and vulnerable, etc. and, if you witness a crime taking place, don’t hesitate to ring 999.

Thanks,

Michael
