The Proms is Moving…

Having had such a wonderful August, September’s weather has decided to be a little more inclement.

This coming Saturday 13th, there is a chance of afternoon showers but the temperature is likely to drop in the evening.

As such, the decision has been made to move the Proms portion of our Commemorative event into the Village Hall.

The Gala afternoon will still take place at the pavilion and field with outdoor games, stalls from the Environmental Group, The Royal British Legion and Axminster Heritage and a WWII tank transporter. Coffee, tea, cakes and a bar will still be available.

Displays of our school children’s artwork across the decades and a commemorative quilt, from our very own Quilters Group, will be on display in the pavilion.

Around 4.30pm will will decamp and the promised hot food will now be served in the Village Hall from 5pm, where the evening Proms will also take place from around 6.30pm.

And for those interested, yes, the bar will also be moving to the hall!

Below is the full programme.

We hope the weather won’t stop you coming along nor spoil your enjoyment.

Thank you.
