Hello everyone,
Sorry, me again, but this time with my NHW hat on.
I receive the weekly Which? organisation scam alerts and, in the last one, there was something I thought worth passing on simply because Which? reported that it was perhaps the most convincing HMRC scam they’d seen yet.
Many of us will have received phone calls, text messages, emails and letters purporting to be from HMRC designed to scare us into giving scammers personal information and, probably by now, we recognise them for what they are and consign them smartly to the trash, maybe with the addition of a sprinkling of Anglo-Saxon language. However, this comes in the form of a very convincing letter with only one subtle clue that it’s fake so worth being aware of perhaps.
I know that this seems to be aimed at business owners at the moment which may well include some of you but it’s probably highly likely that the same sort of thing could be aimed at anyone in the future.
Anyway, further details can be seen by clicking here and, yes, it is safe to do so!
Thanks,
Michael
